Community Involvement

THE National Bank proudly supports the charities and civic organizations within the communities we serve. Over the past five years, THE National Bank has given more than $833,000.00 to such causes. As important, our employees have volunteered over 5,500 hours to such organizations over the past two years. Examples of volunteerism by our employees include participating in local service organizations and clubs, participating in many festivals and events in our areas, coaching and managing youth sports, and serving on the boards of directors and committees at many area schools, hospitals, community groups, and other organizations.

THE National Bank takes pride in our community involvement. We received an Outstanding rating for compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act from the Office the Comptroller of the Currency for our most recent examination dated June 15, 2009. Less than 10% of banks receive an outstanding rating, which indicates our commitment to providing financial services and meeting the credit needs of the community we serve. The full report is available upon request.

We also encourage contributions internally by having monthly "Casual for a Cause" days. A favorite for the staff as participants "pay up to dress down." Every quarter one branch in each market chooses a local cause to support. The remaining "Casual Fridays" support bank-wide charitable initiatives. All of the proceeds are presented to the non-profit organizations selected.
